How To Pick Up The Macebell

Okay, so before we start training with the macebell, first off we need to know how to pick it up correctly.

Just make sure you use a hip hinge pattern so you’re gonna drive those hips back into a hip hinge, functional training uses this movement for many things.

Place one hand at the end of the handle and then the other hand is going to go close to the macehead.

Then we’re just gonna lift that up into the right position.

Okay, so use that hip drive when you’re picking up that mace okay and then from there you’re just going to go into the right position, so you’re nice and relaxed.

If you’re doing a 360, use this grip to go over the left shoulder making sure that your right hand is closest to the macehead when you’re picking up that macebell.

When you put it down just make sure that you put it down safe with head on the floor so its easy to pick up and its kind of just laying around.
